OPlus Launches the XonPhone 5 for Only Rs. 7999/-

OPlus has launched their new smart phone through Snapdeal.com at the super low price of Rs. 7999/-. This has been made possible after a lot of smart planning on part of this Taiwan based company.

OPlus is a new player in the Indian smart phone scene and they have only two products. Based on the success of their XonPad 7, a tablet that was also marketed the same way, the XonPhone 5 is currently only available through Snapdeal.com. Other companies had also launched their own smart phone models that are competing with the XonPhone 5, such as the Micromax Unite, the Moto G and the Moto E, there has also been the release of the Xiaomei smart phone- this is another new player and only time will tell if OPlus will survive the market or not.    

The XonPhone 5 does have a few features that give it a certain something extra like an IPS OGS screen that is five inches. The phone promises to offer a rich visual effect as it displays content in 16.77 million colors, in 1024x720 pixels and it also features Full View. This is a very impressive display given its price tag, what more is that images are super clear and sharp at 320 PPI.   

Like all other smart phones, it is what’s inside that really counts. So how does the XonPhone 5 fare in this department? For starters, the phone has a quad core processor made by Media Tek. This is a well known name that is found in most phones, it also features a 1 GB RAM which when put together with the processor delivers good performance and pretty smooth multi tasking.

You also have the latest operating system of Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat, there are also two cameras- a 2 MP front facing one and an 8 MP rear camera. The cameras have been fitted with LED flash, auto focus, geo tagging and other features that come on an android camera.     

The connectivity options are great as well, the essential WiFi, 3G and Bluetooth are there, and these have been accompanied by something known as Hot Spot, WiFi Direct and Chrome cast. Then you have the very standard 3.5 mm earphone jack, USB 2.0. The phone has been equipped with a dual SIM- one for the mini SIM and one for micro SIM.

Storage too, is a very big thing on nay smart phone and this is where the XonPhone 5 excels, as you have 16 GB of internal space. You also have the option of expanding the space to 32 GB. Finally, the phone is powered by a 2000 mAh battery.

The XonPhone 5 has been designed to offer value to the users and adding to his, the company has launched the smart phone in three colors- gold, grey and silver. The company has promised that more colors will be launched later on. Accessories included in the box are a USB cable, travel adapter, screen protector, case and earphones.
