Transvaginal Mesh Recent Safety Alerts

On July 13, 2011, the FDA once more issued a safety alert to both patients and their healthcare providers, indicating that the original concerns the FDA had reported on in 2008 had increased, and that serious complications stemming directly from mesh implantation were actually far more common than previously thought, or disclosed to patients.
