Day 1: Hanoi – Cuc Phuong National Park [L, D]

You get picked up at your hotel in Hanoi at 8:00 AM, and spend most of your morning drive through the Red River Delta to the hilly region of Ninh Binh province. Arrive at Cuc Phuong National Park after about 2, 5 hour drive. You firstly pay a visit to the Primate Rescue Center to see and learn about many different endangered species. Have lunch at the park’s restaurant before half an hour drive to the forest center for a 3 hour hike to admire the rich flora system in this dense rain forest. Also, you could see a giant of the park, a thousand-years-old tree. Visit a limestone cave of the prehistory man on the way back to the park’s head quarter. Check into a guest house or a private bungalow. Dinner overnight in the national park.

Day 2: Van Long Nature Reserve & Hoa Lu’s Temple [B, L]

This morning, you are advised to be early birds for a gentle walk around the peaceful lake, enjoying fresh-air and listening to the nature sound. After breakfast, you get on your car and make for Van Long- nature reserve. Here you will take a local boat row to visit the beautiful landscape of karst formations in this flooded area. The row takes about 1, 5 hours. Followed with a scenic drive to Hoa Lu commune for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, you will get to know the history of the ancient capital of Vietnam which backs to the 10th century by visiting a beautiful temple which is dedicated to one of Vietnam’s great kings. Drive back to Hanoi, tour ends at your hotel in the late afternoon.
