My apartment is a very large fully furnished 1 bedroom apt (rare in the east village) that I have converted into a 2 bedroom. It is fully air-conditioned, heat and hot water is included, utilities (gas/electric/cable/high speed dsl/wifi) are divided evenly between us each month. It is about a 3-5 minute walk to the 6/N/R/F subway trains, in the very heart of the East Village!! And from these subways, you can get almost anywhere in the city in about 20 minutes.
I have lived in the east village since 1999 (11 years on saint marks) and then the remaining at this apt. It is on east 5th street between 2nd and 3rd aves (aka cooper or Bowery). It is a very quiet street- tree lined and your room is in the back of the building and has large windows.
