Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Ladies Home (OLMC) believes that safety, convenience and comfort need not be expensive.  OLMC addresses residents' desire for safety and security right at the heart of the University Belt.  That is why everything we do here is geared towards ensuring that OLMC remains to be the home that looks after the welfare of its residents.  Specifically, OLMC is secured by tough iron grilled gates with high-tech security locks accessible only by proximity cards issued to authorized residents.  A state-of-the-art surveillance system with infra-red CCTV Cameras records all access and movements at the lobby, reception, stairways, hallways, study rooms, internet room, dining area, fireexits, parking areas and walls, fire escapes and walkways outside the building.


Our ladies rooms at OLMC are now available.  Residents and transients are entitled to the free use of the lobby, reception and dining areas with wide-screen cable TV, high-speed internet room and study room.

Seventeen additional brand new solo rooms complete with own pantry with cupboard and kitchen sink, closets, double-deck bed, study table, toilet and bath, and brand new airconditioner are now available at monthly rental rates of P6000 to P7000 depending on room size.  These rooms have free wi-fi internet access, cable tv and PLDT landline ready.

OLMC provides value meals at P35.00 only for residents and transients!!!  These value meals are nutritious and delicious exactly like home-made meals!!!  For your convenience, OLMC Building also has popular franchise foodcarts where you can have your favorite foods such as burgers, siopao, ice scramble, fried noodles, rice toppings, etc. You can have your meals at the dining area where you can watch your favorite show while eating or if you are in a hurry, it will be given to you conveniently packed and ready to go.

OLMC makes sure that the dorm is safe and secure for all its residents.  That is why the building, its earthquake-proof foundation, electricals and facilities were constructed by reputable construction companies and engineers.  All construction materials used are non-carcinogenic and non-toxic.  Total safety is also the reason why there are more than adequate emergency exits. Fire extinguishers and fire hydrants are located at the entrance of every studio/room in every floor, and every studio has its own separate circuit breaker.  Safety rules (such as strictly no gas tanks and gas stoves, no smoking and no drinking hard drinks within the premises) are also consistently and continuously enforced.  The same holds true with security rules, among which is the restriction of access and strict logging-in of all visitors. 


For the comfort of all residents, all studios are well furnished with pantries with cupboard and kitchen lavatory and sink, study/dining table and living room, and at least two separate toilets and two separate bathrooms with laundry areas.  All toilets and bathrooms are brand new!  Brand new wooden beds crafted from tanguile and brand new individual closets with lock are provided for each resident.  All rooms are new! Residents who prefer airconditioned rooms are furnished with brand new airconditioners at additional rental rates as described below.


For the convenience of each resident, the following additional amenities are provided:

  • Stainless water tanks with two water pumps and built-in water cistern with stainless  and pest-proof sealed cover to ensure uncontaminated, adequate and strong pressurized flowing water;
  • Spacious and constantly well-cleaned hallways, stairways and common study/reception area;
  • Free parking spaces (on a first come first serve basis); and
  • Garbage collection service for all rooms and residents.
  • Residents who want their room and/or the common areas of their studio cleaned may also avail of in-house cleaning services at minimal rates.
  • House rules and amenities provided ensure that OLMC remains secured and safe, quiet, peaceful and very conducive to studying.
  • OLMC also makes sure that this home away from home remains to be a happy place to live in.  Harmonious and warm camaraderie among all residents is encouraged and promoted.

OLMC offers many choices for shared rooms.  The number of occupants in shared rooms range from two or four.  For airconditioned rooms, the monthly rental rates per person range from as low as P2,650 for rooms shared by four, to P3,000 for rooms shared by two.  For non-aircon rooms shared by four, the monthly rate is P2,400 per bedspacer.

 Residents who prefer to have a single (solo) room have a range of price choices from P6,000 to P9,000 per month depending on the size of the room. 

TRANSIENT RATES range from as low as P500 to P700 per room per day depending on size of room.  A maximum of four guests is allowed in each room.  The rate of P500 to P700 is good for two persons.  Only guests in excess of two shall be charged an additional P250 per person per day.  All rooms for transients are furnished with brand new airconditioners, brand new beds with brand new closets, brand new kitchen pantry with dining area.  If you prefer a room without aircon, you can have it for only P400 daily rate!


For a monthly rent as low as P2,400 (no aircon) or P2,650 (brand new aircon), you will be entitled:

to stay in a brand new room with the full array of amenities and furnishings described above;


a bed space (you can avail of a uratex mattress at cost  for only P1,250);


Electricity and water, in excess of what is given as free, shall be proportionately shared by all residents in the room/studio.  For this purpose each room/studio is provided with separate water and electricity meters.


Cooking using electricity is allowed within the common pantry provided for residents in each room/studio;

Residents may request for regular cleaning of their room and/or common areas within their studio;


Free parking spaces are available on a first come first served basis;


Closets/lockers are provided to each resident;


There are no hidden charges.

Special Discounts


Barkada rates lower by 10% of standard rates shall be allowed for the first month rent of barkadas numbering at least four (4) who come in to reside at the same time.

How to get here:  From Quiapo, take PUJ bound for Dapitan, Blumentrit or Dimasalang.  Get off at Goldilocks (Laong-Laan near Perpetual Help College), Cross Laong-Laan St. and proceed to Concepcion Street,then walk towards the Corner of Concepcion St. and A Mendoza Ave.  Or take a taxi or trike and tell the driver to take you to the intersection of A. Mendoza Ave., Concepcion Street and Maria Clara Street where you will find OLMC Bldg. (formerly SD&S Bldg.).  The color of the building is mostly gray with blue accents.  For those coming from the provinces, provincial buses usually pass through the intersection of Mendoza Street, Concepcion Street and Maria Clara Street.
